Cubbington Players present two One Act comedies on 14th -16th October 2010
Babysitting Calvin by John H. Newmeir and Keep Calm by Louis Goodrich
In Babysitting Calvin we meet baby Calvin (acted by an adult) who can remember his previous life when he was happily married to Laura. Calvin will lose his blissful memories when he reaches his first birthday – or speaks – so he’s determined not to talk! But when Laura comes to babysit, along with lecherous Bob who was once Calvin’s best friend, Calvin’s wonderful memories are disturbed. Calvin sets about thwarting Bob but can he prevent the unthinkable happening – without speaking?
Keep Calm is set around a couple with a baby, a cook, a nanny and a maid. But from the moment the wife goes out for the afternoon all manner of mayhem and mistaken identites occur. Will the husband be able to keep calm? Will the wife find out?….will anyone know who anyone is? Come along and find out.
