We are a small, friendly, group who meet, once a month, to discuss the chosen book for that month. Typically, this will be a work of fiction by a contemporary author, with the occasional classic thrown in. One of the agreed benefits is that it gives us the opportunity to enjoy books that we may not otherwise have read. In fact, we have often commented that, had a particular book not been on our “reading list”, we wouldn’t have dreamt of reading it! Our discussions do not require any advanced literary skill or knowledge!
We meet on the last Tuesday of every month, 8.00pm, in the house of the member who has chosen the book for that month. We enjoy a lively discussion, helped along by a glass of wine and nibbles!
