OPEN MEETING

We will be holding an open meeting about HS2 at 7pm on Monday 11 October in the Village Hall.  This will be an opportunity to update everyone about recent developments and the Action Group’s future plans.

WINE TASTING, FRIDAY 10 DECEMBER, 7.30, VILLAGE HALL

Wondering what wine to buy to go with the Christmas meal?  Or do you just enjoy a glass or two?  Come and taste eight fine wines (Three whites including one sparkling, four reds, one dessert wine).

The HS2 Action Alliance has published two new papers:

News about HS2 continues to come thick and fast.

1. The government has just announced that it is investigating a possible alternative route via Heathrow, and that the public consultation has been put back until early 2011 – see here.

2.  A paper from the Campaign for Better Transport asks some fundamental questions about HS2 – see here.

3.  And the national Action Alliance has published a paper on Alternatives to HS2 – see here.
